"Scranton Library Photos from 1980s Show Pre-Air Conditioning Era"

The Scranton Public Library shared a photo of its Barrel Vault Room from the 1980s, which was once the Periodicals Room and is now the Reference Room. The photo shows open windows to allow air circulation, as air conditioning was not available at that time. The room was warm in the summer months. The photographer captured the view towards the Scranton Cultural Center.
